Lost in My Library

One of my goals for 2017 is to read more nonfiction. Actually, one of my goals for every year is to read more nonfiction. I'll admit that I haven't been off to a great start - I've finished a grand total of zero nonfiction books since September - but to be fair, I've been doing a lot of required nonfiction readings for class. But I don't want that to stop me from extra reading! I want to be a history or American Studies major, so a lot of the nonfiction that I want to read is history. But there are a few that aren't! Here's a (by no means complete) list of my top priority nonfiction TBR. A few w eeks ago, I wrote a discussion post about why people read classics . I decided a bout a year ago that I don't wan t to read classics just for the sa ke of reading classics. I'm going to judge them like an y other book. Tha t decision definitely decreased the number of classics on my TBR, but I still have quite a few left. Here's some of them! I definitely want to read everything by Jane Austen. So far, I've read Pri de and Prejudice and Persuasion , so that leaves me with Sense and Sensibility , Emma , Northanger Abbey , and Mansfield Park . And, luckily, readbyzoe on YouTube has created the Austentatio us Book Club ! It started in Au gust, and everyone reads one Jane Austen book per month. I haven't done the last two months, since those were the two that I've read, but I really want to get to Northanger Ab bey thi s month ! I also want to read more by Charles Dickens.
